The Canadian Association of Oilwell Drilling Contractors represents drilling and service rig contractors across Canada. The Association membership accounts for nearly 100% of Canadian drilling rig contractors (land-based and offshore), and 98% of Canada¹s service rig contractors.
CAODC is a meeting place for the drilling and service rig industries, and Association staff are directed by industry to coordinate various initiatives. These initiatives focus on equipment standards, safety practices and training objectives. Read more about CAODC's current initiatives at www.caodc.ca.
CAODC does not operate rigs nor hire rig workers.
A note regarding the flood in southern Alberta:
Due to flooding and the recent evacuation of the Calgary core, the server in CAODC's office is without power. As a result, CAODC is temporarily unable to monitor this email account. CAODC welcomes your comments, but we ask for your patience in receiving a response!
Most drilling contractors have HR departments in Nisku, Alberta - a part of the province not affected by the flooding of the Bow and Elbow Rivers. CAODC encourages interested individuals to contact drilling contractors directly about employment opportunities.
